Started sailing in 2008 on small boats in the North Sea at the german coast. Because of living in the inland took a longer break and spend my time on the water rowing and once in a while sailing a bit. Last year I expanded my licenses and took some training on a yacht in The Netherlands.

Started with my SY Tortuga in Las Palmas / Gran Canaria in July 2020 and made my way from the island via Fuerteventura, Lanzarote and Madeira towards the Acores. From there I sailed with international crew directly to the UK and alongside the UK south coast. Crossed the English Channel from Dover to Dunkerque and moored in Stavoren / The Netherlands. In 2021 brought Tortuga back to Germany and now happy to spend time on the water wether it'll be coastal or offshore.

In 2022 I circumnavigated the United Kingdom starting in Wilhelmshaven and going north via Norway towards Inverness. Through the Caledonian Canal I made my way west to Oban and from there further south to Belfast and Dublin before crossing the Irish Sea into the known waters of the UK south coast. This time I crossed the english channel three times visiting Guernsey and Brighton. Via Amsterdam I made my way back to Germany.

I finished university 2020 and want to use the time to explore the oceans and islands. Dreaming of a circumnavigation with the boats in 2025.

Boat descriptionThe SY Tortuga was build in 1986 and is discovering the oceans for many years. The Reinke Yachts in general are known for their very high security on the ocean. It's the steel version with twin-keels. This leads to a depth of only 1,20 m so discovering a nice bay is very easy possible. The width of 3,49 m by a length of 11,15 creates a lot of space under deck. However it's not a racing boat for the same reason. Like the name implies it's going slow but steady (average speed of 4-5 kts). The tank volumes are capable of traveling long distances (250 l Water, 700 l fuel). There is a life raft for four on board, a Lifejacket for every crew member with a lifeline attached, and a VHF with passive AIS.
