Looking for a Competent Crew position
Hello!
I am currently planning a trip to SE Asia and I am hoping to find a sail boat to join for a few weeks, in March-April. I have completed the RYA Competent Crew course, and I spent 3 months working for Sydney Harbour Tall ships in Australia, sailing 3 traditional wooden tall ships in the harbour for the purpose of tourism. My tasks onboard were to help set sail, mast climb instructor, keeping watch at the bow, galley duty, bartender. I also had 1-2 maintenance shifts every week, sanding, priming, painting, cleaning etc.
We also have a sailboat back home in Finland (Sun Odyssey 43) and I have sailed a lot in the Baltic sea and inland lakes in the summertime with my family. In Australia I also took part in twilight racing at my local sailing club in North Queensland.
