Experienced Deckhand looking for an opportunity to put her diverse skillset to use!
My maritime experience spans multiple vessel types and operational roles. I served as a Deckhand on boat deliveries in Tasmania, managing navigation, line handling, anchoring, and continuous watchkeeping throughout extended transits. Previously, I worked with American Cruise Lines as a Deckhand, where I gained valuable hands-on experience in line handling, watchkeeping, anchoring operations, vessel maintenance, and daily deck operations. Most recently I work as a deckhand for National Geographic in remote regions of Southeast Alaska. From crane operations, driving guests in the zodiacs, to being a dive boat driver, my experience with Nat Geo has allowed me to hone my existing skills as well and learn new skills as a deckhand practicing situational awareness while operating in changing conditions.
I hold STCW Basic Training, ENG 1 Med Cert, First Aid/CPR, VPDSD, Marine Radio Operators Permit, and a TWIC. I also have extensive experience operating small boats and tenders under a variety of conditions.
I am very hardworking, efficient, honest, trustworthy, fun and positive. I have a great attitude and welcome constructive criticism knowing the opportunity it provides to learn and grow. I would love to find a position as a Deckhand on a boat that I can grow with for the foreseeable future and welcome the opportunity to further discuss my qualifications in an interview.
I look forward to sharing the water with you!
