Looking for sailing experience and good times sailing with others
I recently got my RYA Day-Skipper certification out in Tasman Bay, New Zealand and now want to build up sea miles, gain as much experience as possible, aboard different kinds of sailboats in a variety of conditions. My long-term aim is to buy my own boat and complete an unassisted, non-stop circumnavigation. I'd like to meet others who share a passion for sailing.
I got into sailing by reading about Chichester and Knox-Johnston when living in Greenwich. But as a kid I used to go out on my grandfather's yacht out of Tampa, FL. I've also done a good bit of dinghy sailing, on Rutland Water, where I'm from, and more recently on Lake Wanaka in NZ. I'm back in Europe now, willing to travel.
I enjoy cooking, as well as a good conversation, fishing, adventures in the mountains, books. I've worked as a professional classical guitarist. I'm practical, tidy and well organised. Looking forward to getting back out on the water! Cheers,
Nick

Super keen crew
Nick was excellent crew on my recent trip to Weymouth and back. He may not have the most experience yet but he makes up for that by being very keen to learn and isn't phased by anything you throw at him - he just gets on and does it. He has grand ambitions on where he wants his sailing to take him and I have no doubt that he will get there. The best recommendation a skipper can give is to say that I would gladly have him back as crew any time and hopefully will!
