Looking for a Novice Crew, Voluntary work or Mile building position
Hi - my name is Keith and I've just joined Crewbay. I'm interested in finding a position as a Novice Crew, Voluntary work or Mile building. I'm looking forward to meeting some new people!
A little about me: I live in Los Angeles, am 38 and married, and am a former wood-worker (furniture/cabinetry), carpenter, automotive mechanic, rigger/installer (elevated steel work), barista, cook, and bartender. Currently I work as a program manager. I have had many adventures in my past: I've done relief work in post-disaster areas, I've biked cross-country solo, and I've visited many distant parts of the landed part of the world, but rather little of the watery parts. I'd like to change that.
I would like to become a competent sailor, so that one day I can take part in a longer voyage around the world.
I would bring a strong motivation to learn and practice the skills and experienced being offered to me, to any one who was so generous as to invite me to be a part of their crew or team, be it for an a short-trip or longer.
