Experienced crew/diver looking for fun sailing boat
Hi everyone,
I’m Ollie, a 34 year old Kiwi currently working as Dive Safety Officer (scuba) on the most advanced research ship ever built, RV OceanXplorer. I’ve been on OceanXplorer for 5 years and we have been all over the world doing amazing science, exploration and media projects.
I’m laid back with a classic Kiwi sense of humour, I love to chill, enjoy life and I’m happiest when at sea but I’m equally happy to get my hands dirty and I’m not afraid of hard work. I know what it’s like to live in close proximity to other people and I’m a very reliable and respectful crew member and a genuine team player.
My experience is on motor boats but my dream is to sail and eventually buy my own boat.
I work only 6 months of the year and would like to cruise during my time off. Obviously I love to dive, freedive, snorkel so my ideal boat would be doing this, however my main goal is to learn as much about sailing as I can possibly can. I would like to crew for an experienced skipper who wants to teach me.
