Looking for a Novice Crew position
Hello!
I’m looking for a position as Novice Crew on a sailboat or motor vessel travelling the stunning West Coast of Canada in September 2025 — heading north or south, ideally departing from Vancouver.
Sailing the BC coast has been a long-held dream — I’m moving to Canada this year and spending September exploring by sea before settling. I’m drawn to the remoteness, the wildlife, and the freedom of life on the water.
While I’m new to crewing on larger boats, I’ve sailed Mirror class dinghies in my youth and hold an RYA Powerboat Level 2 certificate (vessels up to 10m). I’m comfortable on deck, eager to learn, and more than happy to muck in with whatever’s needed — from watch duty to meals.
I’m a business manager by trade — organised, calm under pressure, and used to working closely with different personalities. I'm confident communicating, taking initiative, and following direction (also handy with logistics and checklists!).
If you need reliable hands, good energy, and someone ready to help however they can — I’d really like to connect. Open to different durations and itineraries.
