I want to spend my birthday at sea and learn to sail!
I am an active, adventurous and hard-working 60 yr old single woman with a love of sailing but very little experience as crew. It is my dream to live out my retirement on a sailboat so I need to start somewhere! I have multiple skills and experience that could be useful on board. I am intelligent and learn quickly. I have a bachelor in Chemistry and cross cultural communication and a master's in teaching (I taught HS for 11 years in Vermont). I am fearless and love adventure, fun and require little maintenance. I also can cook, clean, sew, manage households and finances, and am handy with tools. I am an unlicensed massage therapist as well. I just want to learn as much about sailing as possible and spend time with like minded thalassophiles. I currently work as a bookkeeper for a luxury kitchen showroom in West Palm Beach but am looking to make a change soon that gives me more time and freedom to pursue my sailing dreams.
