Looking for a Captain or 1st Mate position
Hello, my name is Sebastien. I’m a French seafarer with over 30 years of experience at sea. I’ve worked mostly on luxury charter yachts up to 82 feet, both sailing and motor. I started sailing and racing in the Mediterranean, began crewed charters in the Pacific, and have lived in the Caribbean for 25 years. I have experience in deliveries, including Atlantic crossings, new yacht commissioning, and working for private owners. I’m a friendly, loyal, and discreet captain with proven longevity on board, strong on safety, and a good team leader who works well with crews. Recently, I worked as a project manager, stepping on superyachts for urgent repairs and support in Sint Maarten, thanks to my strong technical background. I’m now looking for a long-term position as captain or first mate, ideally Caribbean-based or rotational.
