Novice sailor looking to build mileage and work diligently.
Novice sailor with ASA 101, 103, and 111 certifications. I am earnestly working towards 102, 104 and 105.
I have sailed in the Pacific, around Oahu and Big Island, and in the Aegean, around Poros and the Saronic Islands. I have confirmed plans for mile building trips, across the Alenuihaha channel in winter 2026 and in the western Aegean in the spring.
I have studied at the Honolulu sailing school, the Athens Sailing school, and am being mentored by Paul Exner.
I love navigating, trimming sails, and the hard work involved. I am interested in gaining experience in as many different waters and types of sailboats possible, no motorboats please, unless I can train in navigation or learn about the diesel engine.
I have an American passport, and a long stay, multi-entry visa for the EU good through July 2026. I am a native English speaker, speak conversational Greek, Spanish, French, Italian, and Dutch, in descending order of competency.
I am an avid hiker, snorkeler, kayaker, amateur naturalist, and astronomer. I love reading about ancient near eastern and classical history, medieval and renaissance old world history, and geology. I keep very active, so I spend my free time either outdoors or sleeping! I also love to paint and draw, and play 3 instruments.
I work fully remote for a tech start up, so I can be anywhere at any time.
