Hey everyone!
I’m Jonatan, 22, from the Netherlands. I am an experienced sailor and instructor looking for an adventure and to build more offshore mileage between December 17th and January 30th. I’d love to spend this window sailing, learning, and contributing as part of a good crew.
Besides sailing I am a business student, studying in Montréal right now on exchange. I love windsurfing, fitness, reading, travelling and adventure. I am easygoing, bring a lot of positivity (emoji) and love to laugh.
I am happy to help with cooking, cleaning, maintenance & watches.
Sailing Experience
• Sailing since age 12 and 7 years as a sailing instructor.
• Experience on yachts like the Beneteau First 31.7, mostly on Dutch coastal waters (IJsselmeer, Markermeer) with open-water experience too.
• Experience with night watches, basic engine checks, and navigation/route planning.
• Hold RYA Short Range Certificate (SRC) and First Aid (BHV).
• Familiar with MOB maneuvers.
Routes I’m Interested In
I’m flexible on where I join and what kind of trip it is — happy to help with:
• Caribbean passages: East Coast USA/Canada → Caribbean or island-hopping/delivery trips.
• South Atlantic routes: Deliveries or cruising legs heading south from the Caribbean or along South America’s coast.
Preferably one longer trip, but open to shorter ones too!
