Seeking Competent Crew, Novice Crew, Friendship or Mile building position (Europe and Atlantic Crossing)
Ahoy sailors! I'm interested in finding a position as a Competent Crew, Novice Crew, Friendship or Mile building. I'm looking forward to meeting some new people!
Strictly no romance; I am in a longterm relationship.
After many years of wishing, I took the chance to join a learn-sailing course 5 years ago and have been crewing ever since. I received my Day Skipper certificate in 2025, and recently purchased my own small boat (a Spaekhugger), which I am fixing up. I've joined boats for English Channel crossings, and for sailing along the East Coast Rivers in the UK and the Hebrides in Scotland, as well as many shorter sails in the North Sea and Dutch inland waters.
I also enjoy swimming, snorkeling, kayaking, and simply being around wildlife and water. I have a PADI Advanced Open Water certificate, but haven't dived in years and don't feel confident anymore. Would love to pick up diving again.
Seeing that I have a lot to learn, in boat handling as well as maintenance, I am seeking opportunities to join more experienced sailors for both shorter trips in Europe as well as longer crossings. If the right boat and skipper are found, I would love to cross the Atlantic with them in 2026!
