Beginner sailor with Day Skipper training seeking miles, experience & mentorship
Hi, I’m Brian, 54, and I’m looking to build real sailing experience and continue progressing.
I completed my Competent Crew course in Gosport/Portsmouth two years ago, followed by Day Skipper Theory and Day Skipper Practical. I currently have around 450 nautical miles and would like to build more passage, watch keeping and night sailing experience.
I’m interested in mile building, coastal sailing, deckhand duties and learning from experienced sailors. I’m still early in my sailing journey, but I’m serious, practical, tidy, respectful and very keen to learn.
After 26 years working as a hairdresser, sailing is a big new challenge for me, and my long-term goal is to make it part of my working life in the future.
