Looking for a Deckhand/ carpenter position or Deck/Stew Couple position
I'm looking for an opportunity to join a sailing or motor yacht as a deckhand, ideally on a private or family boat where I can become part of a small team and continue learning the industry.
Most of my experience has been hands-on rather than in yachting. I've worked in fabrication for the film industry, construction, farming, property maintenance and hospitality, and I enjoy practical work that keeps me outdoors and solving problems. I'm equally happy repairing something, helping on deck, working with guests or simply getting stuck in wherever I'm needed.
Outside of work, I love the ocean, nature and living simply. I'm interested in woodworking, fishing, gardening, indigenous plants and learning traditional skills. I'm a qualified PADI Open Water Diver, enjoy being on and around the water, and I'm excited to build my experience in sailing.
I'm reliable, easy to get along with and not afraid of hard work. My partner and I are both looking for opportunities in yachting, and we'd love to find a boat together if the right opportunity comes along. That said, I'm equally happy to be considered on my own.
I'm looking forward to learning from experienced crew, contributing wherever I can, and becoming a valuable part of a boat and its journey.
