Crew available Atlantic crossing
I am looking for friendly, down-to-earth and respectful sailors/travelers to join for the Atlantic crossing.
I have experience as a solo deckhand in a two person crew and in multiple open-sea night crossings (below my sailing experiences).
I am deeply respectful of personal space and boundaries.
I travelled to many countries, worked in many different sectors (hospitality, tree planter in reforestation and reveg projects, teacher of Italian to foreigners, agricultural work, educator in social projects, etc…).
Ready to share running costs, higly adaptable, with a strong commitment to safety and onboard routines.
SAILING EXPERIENCE
Jul - Aug 2026 | Deckhand/Cook | Ketch Scorpio 72 ft | NM 415 | 21 days (Social Project, Eolie Islands to Cagliari)
Deck maneuvers, routine maintenance, cleaning.
Shift planning and team nightshift.
Galley management and cooking for large groups (13+ people); support for social promotion activities for blind and visually impaired people.
Maintenance: sanding and varnishing wood, troubleshooting/assisting with marine head (toilet) pump repairs.
Jul - Aug 2025 | Sole Deckhand - Assistant Captain in a two person crew | Albin Vega 27 ft | NM 450 | 30 days (Private, Mediterranean: multiple open-sea night crossings: Trapani–Pantelleria, Pantelleria–Licata, San Leone–Malta, and Malta–Marzamemi)
Co-managing all aspects of navigation, safety, and boat handling: night passages, solo night watches, traffic control, and VHF usage.
Maintenance: hull cleaning (removing algae and barnacles)
