Looking for a Competent Crew, Delivery Crew, Mile building or Deckhand position
I'm Norwegian/Swedish and have been sailing since childhood, with experience in both Nordic waters and the Mediterranean. From the age of 8 to 16, I sailed and raced Topaz Omega dinghies at GKSS (Royal Gothenburg Yacht Club), and later worked there for two summers (2016–2017) as a sailing instructor, teaching children aged 4–6.
Last year in November to December I did six practical skipper sessions with Skipper Academy Lisbon, working through the Competent Crew / Day Skipper syllabus, mostly hands-on boat handling. I don't have the final ICC certificate yet, and now I am particularly interested in building further offshore experience and sea miles with the goal of progressing towards a skipper qualification.
I am comfortable taking an active role onboard and am keen to develop further in sail handling, helming, navigation, watchkeeping, anchoring and general boat operations. I am especially interested in sailing yachts and catamarans and would be very happy to join longer passages, yacht deliveries, ocean crossings, charter operations or other active sailing programmes.
I am hardworking, practical and very comfortable adapting to new environments. Having lived and worked in different countries, I am used to meeting new people and working closely with people from different backgrounds. I enjoy being part of a team and am happy to contribute wherever needed onboard, including sailing, watches, cooking, cleaning, maintenance or general day-to-day tasks.
Available from October 2026 onwards, with no fixed end date. I am geographically flexible and happy to travel worldwide. I am particularly interested in Europe, the Arctic, Central/South America, the Caribbean, Australia and the South Pacific. I'm looking for genuine sailing experience, responsibility and the opportunity to become a stronger sailor.
