Looking for a Chef, Friendship, Deckhand or Cook/Stew position
Hi - I've just joined Crewbay
My name is Jarle, I’m Norwegian and I’m a cook with previous offshore sailing experience. I recently sailed from France to Spain as crew on a 41-foot catamaran, including the Bay of Biscay.
I also spent a full year as a student and crew member on the Norwegian tall ship Christian Radich in 1997, as part of my education to become a cook. During that year, I crossed the Atlantic and sailed to several different countries. It was a fantastic experience and gave me a strong connection to both cooking and life at sea.
In August 2025, I also spent four weeks sailing in the Mediterranean as crew on a 42-foot sailing boat.
I like a fantastic adventure. I’m very interested in joining you, especially if you are looking for someone who can take responsibility for cooking as well as helping with watches and general sailing duties.
