Looking for an Atlantic crossing - available from late November!
Hi! I’m a 22-year-old engineering graduate from Hungary, currently on a gap year and looking to join a crew for an Atlantic crossing available anytime from late November. I am also interested in the possibility of some coastal cruising in the Caribbean or the Americas afterwards.
I have around 900 NM of logged coastal sailing experience in northern Spain and Portugal, where I joined a fantastic crew of four aboard a Friendship 35 as a deckhand. There, I learned a lot about sailing, navigation and life at sea, and I also have some sailing experience from childhood.
I’m also very outdoorsy and love exploration: hiking, camping, bikepacking, surfing, swimming and snorkeling are some of the things I enjoy the most. I’ve travelled, volunteered, worked and studied in different countries, so I’m easy-going, flexible, comfortable with simple living and used to multicultural/shared environments.
I speak English and Hungarian fluently and Spanish in a conversational level.
My goal is to enjoy life at sea, make the crossing with a good crew, and eventually continue exploring and hiking in South America.
