Looking for sailing opportunities in 2026: Caribbean now, anywhere else later :-)
I'll have a lot of spare time in 2026 that I'd love to use for improving my sailing skills on cruises from weeks to months. I have done my license for inland waters (SBF Binnen) and coastal areas (SBF See and SKS) in 2020 and 2022. In January 2026 I crossed the Atlantic on a traditional wooden ship. This has been a good start for knowing what to expect in sailing. But there’s still many more things to learn! So I'd like to spent more time on boats - both on water and on land for maintenance.
I’m currently in Guadeloupe. I’m interested both in cruising around the Caribbean as well as crossing back to Europe and basically anywhere else. I'm looking for longer-term sailing (weeks-months) where I can learn about navigation and boat maintenance. I can contribute to daily expenses on board.
I’m looking forward to meeting diverse crews with people who communicate well and enjoy sharing time together and the limited space on a boat. I have some decent manual skills, I like cooking and keeping things in order, and I can easily communicate in German, Spanish, French and English. I don't need alcohol, nor cigarettes, nor meat.
