Looking for a Competent Crew, Racing Crew, Voluntary work or Mile building position
Hi there,
I have been sailing my entire life, both competitively and for leasure — mostly in Europe (North and Baltic Sea plus Mediterranean), but also in Namibia and Caribbean. While I've been racing regularly in the the last 15 years I mostly worked as First Mate in the Mediterranean this year, combining watch-keeping and passage sailing with hands-on boat maintenance and refit work (I'm comfortable getting stuck into repairs and keeping a boat in good working order underway, not just sailing it).
In 2024 I crossed the Atlantic from St. Maarten to the Azores, and I'm now looking to take on an East–West Atlantic crossing to build on that experience and keep developing my skills offshore.
I have been working in communications and social media in the past years mostly for environmental organisations, and I'd describe myself as tidy, curious, open-minded, and a fast learner — happy to take on maintenance tasks, provisioning, or whatever else needs doing on board..
