Watch: Sailing from Oporto to Lisbon

I am a sailing enthusiast based in Dublin, looking to connect with sailing mates who share a passion for the sea, adventure, good seamanship, and positive energy on board.
Since writing my previous profile, my sailing experience has grown significantly. I now own my own 36ft sailboat and have been actively developing my skills in coastal sailing, passage planning, boat handling, navigation, maintenance, safety procedures, and life on board. I also have more than 30 years of experience in windsurfing and sailing small boats, which has given me a strong instinct for wind, balance, weather, and the behaviour of a boat under sail.
I am interested in meeting people for coastal passages, weekend sailing, longer adventures, and shared learning experiences. I can usually commit to short trips of up to 3 days with relatively short notice. For longer passages, I prefer around 2 months’ notice so I can organise my professional schedule properly.
Safety, communication, respect, and teamwork are very important to me. I believe a good boat atmosphere is built through cooperation, flexibility, and a willingness to help wherever needed. I am happy to take part in all duties on board, including watch keeping, night shifts, cooking, cleaning, sail handling, docking, maintenance, navigation, and general boat preparation.
I am also continuing to build my confidence and competence as coastal skipper, for longer-distance and more independent sailing, so I value every opportunity to learn, share knowledge, and sail with people who enjoy the sea with responsibility and enthusiasm.
Whether you are an experienced sailor or someone still learning but with the right attitude, I would be happy to connect. My goal is to enjoy the journey, create good memories, improve as a sailor, and build friendships with people who love the ocean.
