Looking for a Captain, Deckhand, Bosun or Laundry position. Ready immediately.
Hello,
My passion for the sea began in 2004 when I joined the sea scouts. As part of my team, I gained valuable skills and qualifications throughout my sailing journey, which I later passed on to younger students. To date, I have spent 3,188 hours at sea (including 1,800.5 hours as a captain) and covered 13,039.1 NM (7,508.4 NM as a skipper).
In 2024, I worked as a Skipper and Chief Experience Officer with G Adventures, leading sailing trips across the Cyclades and Saronic Gulf in Greece. Operating a 15-meter Bavaria 51 Cruiser sailboat, I independently handled most aspects of the vessel’s operation, including docking, undocking, and ensuring safety at sea. I guided weekly voyages for up to eight passengers, many of whom were new to sailing, with a strong focus on safety. Additionally, I planned routes, managed the yacht’s finances, and catered to passengers’ needs, while sharing insights into local communities to create an unforgettable holiday experience.
In my previous role, I led a sailing project that involved delivering a vessel from northern Germany to Sicily along the Western European Atlantic coast, through southern Spain, and via the Balearic Islands and Sardinia. I recruited and managed an international crew, planned the route, navigated under delivery deadlines, and ensured that each crew member’s capabilities were properly utilized. I also maintained the boat's equipment, engine, and sails, and oversaw the yacht’s budget.
Before focusing fully on maritime work, I built a strong foundation in logistics and business management. As a Logistics Manager at Bujnie, a company producing and selling high-quality designer plant stands, I managed shipping and inventory operations, improved workflow efficiency, and oversaw production quality. Later, as an antique dealer, I developed expertise in sales, customer service, and product sourcing — experience that continues to inform my professionalism and attention to detail on board.
One of my earlier professional roles at sea was in 2017, when I worked as a skipper in the Mediterranean, organizing cruises on a 10.45-meter sailboat for 4–6 passengers. I planned routes and navigated with consideration for weather, destinations, and crew abilities. My responsibilities included caring for guests and managing the yacht's finances. After the season, I performed maintenance, refit, and restoration work on the vessel, further strengthening my hands-on seamanship and technical understanding.
I am eager to set sail again, applying my experience and knowledge while continuing to learn and grow. I am ready for hard work and new adventures aboard your sailboat or motorboat.
Best
Filip
