1st Mate / Deckhand
Hello everyone,
My name is Fernando Eggeling. I am originally from Ecuador and currently based in Marbella, Spain.
I am writing to express my interest in joining your sailing vessel as crew, as I am eager to gain more hands-on experience in or there to become a strong Captain on sailing yachts.
I am an Environmental Engineer by profession and hold the basic maritime certifications required to work onboard, including STCW, ENG1 medical certificate, Powerboat Level 2, and the Spanish skipper license PER (Patrón de Embarcaciones de Recreo).
In addition, I have 2 seasons under my belt, I have worked for many years as a professional water sports instructor. I am a certified Divemaster, and I actively practice freediving. I am very confident in the water and comfortable working in high-pressure situations, maintaining a calm and responsible attitude at all times.
I am highly motivated, adaptable, a machine in the water, I have good maintenance and mechanical skills, always willing to learn and improve.
