Competent, polyvalent, curious, and easy maintenance crew available
Greetings! Weird patchwork of a biologist-sailor looking for all kinds of opportunities that involve sea and sails - deliveries, racing, expeditions or just because. I've got about 14 years of experience on all kinds of modern sailing boats from 27-65ft, also worked/sailed on a classic racing yacht, and I'm happy to do pretty much any job on the boat, including cooking, cleaning or crawling up the mast. Plus some decent tinkering skills (mechanics, rigging) and a large array of stories, games, and riddles to keep watchmates awake during the 3-6am shift. Fluent in English, French and German, some decent Spanish and rudimentary Danish. Can sleep on command everywhere, strong tendencies to bring a violin along, and fairly cold-resistant after some time spent on Scandinavian waters.
PS: It's not in the "qualifications" list, so I'll put it here, I've got the Danish sailing license "Duelighedsbevis" (should be valid internationally), which allows me to function as a skipper (or crew) on pleasure crafts up to 50ft (offshore included) with no restrictions on engine power. Concretely that means that I can tell lights apart by night and why the wind-from-starboard priority dates back to viking boats, the rest of knowledge comes mainly from trial, error, and experience.
