I have been sailing on and off between the 1980 and 2010, with roughly 3,000 NM of coastal and offshore experience. Recently purchased Adak in New Zealand. Sailed 7,000 miles between Opua in New Zealand and Kodiak in Alaska through Noumea in New Caledonia, Majuro in the Marshall Islands, and Dutch Harbor in the Aleutian Islands.

Throughout my career I’ve managed complex projects requiring team building, tight deadlines, financial constraints, and thoughtful risk management. For example, I started a small flight school and taught people to use airplanes for personal transportation. That experience still shapes my approach to seamanship—structured training, calm decision-making, and a disciplined attitude toward risk management.

I’m looking for collaborators who value seamanship, curiosity, and purposeful work over “lifestyle cruising.”
