Lowestoft to Mediterranean

Snow Goose is going back to the Med when ready this Summer….ideally by the inland waterway route .This should take about six weeks.
Im looking for a single sailor ideally or a couple.
This route through inland France is beautiful (the towpaths are a lovely bike holiday actually ) but taking a six- ton sea boat 600 miles through 200 locks is demanding as well with a return in boat- handling skills
We will need to prep the boat for approx two weeks at Lowestoft. But there are no deadlines and the starting date is flexible to some degree.

Best cup of tea this side of the English Channel

I spent around two weeks on the boat with Mark, sailing from Sussex to the Solent. I'd only ever sailed in the Mediterranean, so the English waters were very new to me. Mark taught me about navigating in tidal waters through sandbanks and very busy shipping lanes in the English Channel. I also learned that to every problem there is a solution, whether it's a jammed propeller or a stuck furler. Thanks to Mark's knowledge of boats we managed to deal with every unexpected situation we faced. He has great taste in music and wines, and has many good sailing stories to tell. Ask him about his single-handed long distance small boat sailing when you get a chance. A true gentleman and a more than decent sailor, I never once felt unsafe on Snow Goose. This trip was certainly one of the more memorable experiences in my life. Go sailing with Mark, you won't regret it!
