Well, after 7 years and 37,000 sea miles...grateful has a new owner. Just wanna say thank you to all who supported this journey and a huge shoutout to Crewbay for a great site.

She’s a 2012, and has been kept in like new condition. She looks and sails like damn near new, is clean and dry. Cruises well at 7.5 kts, but she likes 9 kts too! She sails herself...set the autopilot, set the alarms, and snooze all night.

Duane is super welcoming, friendly and ready to share his past experiences and what he’s learned from them. I learned a lot about living out of sailing and loved the experience even if it lasted only a couple of days. Hope too see you again Duane ?

Lovely boat and easy going captain
I have been sailing with Duane on Grateful in Italy, from Puglia to Sicily and we had a wonderful time. He is a very trustable captain, talented surfer and swimmer. Always smiling and enjoying conversations. The boat is stunning.

Best experience
Duane is an experienced open minded tolerant captain, fun interesting and willing to share his knowledge with the less experts member of the crew. I would absolutely recommend him and his confortable luxurious Grateful.

Unforgettable memories onboard of Grateful
The time spent onboard Grateful, has been an enchanting journey. First of all, Duane is an amazing human, great sailor, he's always up to share his knowledge, make you participate and get sure you understand the reasons of any action. Always in a good mood, he calmly find solutions for any problem that could show up. Enjoying life from the good side, being on board with him is the promise of great conversations, good laughter, amazing discoveries along the different stops and of course AMAZING sailing, with great sensations as this boat is magic and the captain knows really well how to handle it let it express its full potential. I will definitely get back on board when I will have free time as those two weeks were an awake dream ! If you are looking to learn how to sail, in a friendly atmosphere where you will learn a lot humanely as well, creating life lasting memories, don't hesitate, Duane and Grateful are the combo you need ! Wishing you both fairwinds, See you soon captain !

Amazing experience
Unforgettable experience on Grateful. It's a very well maintained and equipped boat. We sailed over 800nm together from Spain over Marocco to the Canaries. Duane was always really kind and it was great fun with him. Thank you for everything! Hope to see you again!

Duane he is not Marinero, he is el Capitan!
Have shared and learned a lot of days and some Nautic miles with "el Capitán"! Now I am taking care of Athena and Grateful in Lanzarote. Wishing Duane and all his Ohana a happy Christmas and excellent new 2024! Hoping to sail and surf again with this Legend called "Duane El Capitan"! Too much fun, too much talkstory and lots of feminists around to meet!
