Headed south from Exuma
Hello
I have a 47 ft Northwind, a Spanish built boat from 1986. Our boat is outfitted with new RayMarine electronics, Starlink for internet, and a watermaker, making for a comfortable live aboard life. My girlfriend Jacquelyn and I sailed to Exuma from Fort Lauderdale and are currently in Georgetown. We are looking for a third person to join our next stages of the trip to help sail and share watches. Jacquelyn cooks and cleans so no need for help there.
Planning to go to Turks & Caicos, then Dominican Republic where we would like to stay for at least 2-3 weeks in exploring the island, and then on to the Virgin Islands. Ready to leave the Bahamas as soon as the conditions are right, as early as March 4, and make it to Virgin Islands by mid April, our schedule is very flexible, we like to take our time exploring places.
I have a 200 ton masters license, and Jacqurlyn has RYA competent crew certification. I am a very competent diesel mechanic. I build homes when I’m not sailing, so am generally very handy.
I am an avid fisherman and usually have 4 lines in while under sail! Jacquelyn is studying yoga philosophy and integrative health theory. We are 44 and 39 years young:)
The boat is already well provisioned for we would expect contribution towards future provisioning and dingy fuel.
