Watch: Cruising off of Beachy Head
From Gibraltar Bay and onwards down the Med
Myself and 2 crew. Sailed my boat from Plymouth to Cadiz. Next stop Algerciras/ Gibraltar/La Linea.
The boat was so stable coming across Bay of Biscay. 3rd reef, 34 knots of Wind and 4 metre waves and matching swell. A light boat at 5000KG net weight. A two Ton (lead) long fin keel kept her remarkably stable and just took it in her stride. She is quick too.
I am currently in Cadiz with 1 crewman whom I met here on Crewbay. He has been on the boat for 4 weeks and flies home, back to his life and job on the 2nd July.
I need to pop back to the UK for a few weeks but I will be back on board in Gibraltar bay waiting for 1 or 2 crewman.
I am looking for good crew who sail regularly. I have coastal Yachtmaster and 10,000 plus Sea miles. Currently 4 weeks at sea continuously. All I ask is for applicants who can think on their feet and can handle all crewman tasks at the pace required for challenging sailing.
When we are alongside or on a mooring or Anchorage and the boat is secure, then we can eat and drink and enjoy the life style.
If you need to build miles for a qualification or commercial rating, this is the boat for you.
As said above, I will be back onboard just before the end of July. For anybody who wants to stay on for a longer period, I have a system that works for worries about the 90 day rule. The new Electronic EU visa is going to be implemented in The autumn.
That's all for now...Ritchy
Competent and safe skipper. Well kept yacht.
Went on a lovley and lively day sail on the solent with Richy.I find him to be a competent skipper with attention to safety and knows his boat well. he is also quite a tidy skipper (to my liking) and always keeps the cockpit clutter free. The boat sails well and has all the safety equipment. It is very well maintained and looked after, really clean on the inside too. I would recommend sailing with him, and look forward to do so myself.
