Share an Ionian Sailing Adventure This Summer

Hi there,

I'm looking for a few good souls to share my catamaran and a slice of Greek island life this early summer June 2026. The trip will start in the golf of Corinth, through the Ionian islands with the final destination of Corfu. If you're more interested in making memories than just taking photos, this might be for you.

Me & The Boat
You'll be in good hands. As a very experienced, RYA commercially endorsed and handy skipper, I've learned what really matters: safety is non-negotiable, and a sense of humor is essential. I also know this part of Greece very well.

My boat is an SMG 50+ catamaran: Ocean rated, fast, incredibly safe, configured for solo sailing, and my fully self-sufficient home on the waves. She has all the essentials, but our air conditioning is the sea breeze, which, paired with a swim, works wonders. I’m fluent in English, French, and Swedish, and can navigate a conversation in German, Italian, and Spanish.

The Vibe & Crew
This isn't a sailing school for total beginners—a big cat is a tough first classroom. Some previous live aboard experience is a plus. This adventure is for those who already got the passion and pull of the sea. However, your "Good Vibe CV" is usually more important than your sailing CV.

A quick heads-up on my philosophy: I chase the wind, not the schedule. We'll be under sail whenever possible, embracing the quiet power of the wind over the drone of an engine (even though this boat is particularly quiet due to its diesel electric shaft drives). The journey itself is the prize. So this may not be for mile builders. I also anchor 99.99% of the time, so those craving nightly on-shore social time will not find this adventure to their liking.

Ultimately, I'm looking for emotionally intelligent people who are comfortable in their own skin, literally and figuratively. People who value a real connection and nature over constant small talk and will contribute to a warm, easy-going, fun and respectful onboard atmosphere.

This adventure is best shared, so the vibe is ideal with a solo sailor, a couple, or a small group of friends. As for the ground rules, they’re simple and all about safety: you need to be a confident swimmer, this is an adults-only trip, and we save any light celebratory drinks for when we’re safely at anchor. A clear head at sea is essential. And yes, in the spirit of freedom, our deck is clothing-optional, always with mutual respect.

The Practical Part
To keep it fair and simple, we split the running costs. There's a set €60 daily contribution that covers fuel, all the food and non-alcoholic drinks we have on the boat, and other shared expenses. Your only extras are your travel expenses to Greece and any fun you have ashore.

Sound like a Match?
If you think our vibes might align, drop me a line. Please make sure your Crewbay profile is complete—it's the first step of our journey.

Looking forward to hearing from you.
Jon

An unforgettable sailing experience in the Ionian Sea

5

Our sailing trip in the Ionian Sea was absolutely fantastic! The skipper was extremely experienced and knowledgeable — not only did we feel completely safe the entire time, but we also learned so much about sailing. He took the time to explain everything clearly and encouraged us to take part in navigating and handling the boat, which made the trip both educational and fun. At the same time, there was plenty of time to simply relax and enjoy life on the water - swimming or snorkeling in the beautiful sea. We even spotted dolphins and sea turtles along the way — a truly magical experience! Evenings on board were just as enjoyable — we shared great meals, played board games, and watched the sunset from the deck. The boat itself is spacious, clean, and very comfortable. All in all, it was the perfect combination of adventure, relaxation, and discovery. Highly recommended for anyone who wants to experience the beauty of the Ionian Sea with a professional and passionate sailor.

I’ve had the pleasure to sail on this beautiful catamaran on two occasions….a fantastic and memorable experience. The vessel is safe, well appointed and maintained to a very high standard. She also sails extremely well. The skipper has extensive knowledge of the Ionian area. We visited many beautiful towns and bays, both the main tourist areas and places only the locals go to. Also some great swimming and snorkeling areas with unique sea-life. He is also very generous in sharing his extensive knowledge of sailing and boat maintenance. I am definitely a better sailor for having this experience. I can thoroughly recommend this sailing adventure around Corfu.
