SY Axiom is looking for stew/cook/deckhand

About the yacht:

Built in 2010 by Conrad shipyard

She is in pristine condition, underwent several refits. Family owned, sailing in the med from April to October. We offer a deal that the crew works 7 months and has 5 months off.

Axiom has a steel hull and is equipped with twin anchors, twin Volvo Penta engines, Fisher Panda generator, watermaker (1.400 l/d), hydraulic main, two genoas (all electrically furled), hydraulic lifting keel and bathing platform. Battery set was converted to lithium in 2023. The dinghy is a Williams jet tender. The inside of the boat is equipped with AC units in each cabin, 3 fridges, 2 freezers, washer/dryer and dishwasher. Boat has Starlink internet.. Water sports: boat is equipped with diving compressor and diving gear, water skis, paddle board.

Rigging: Main, Genoa 1, Genoa 2, Jib, Spinnaker, all sails new. Fuel capacity: 3.500L, water tanks: 3.000 l, Gross tonnage: 72T.


Crew: there are two permanent crew onboard: a skipper. We are searching a person that is "happy in the galley and likes to keep the ship tidy, and gets engaged in the sailing part, incl. line handling. It is not important you have great experience, but you must be eager to work and learn.

Owners: the boat is owned by a German family: a couple and their 3 young adults (23-30 years) who visit with friends. When onboard, they like to participate in the sailing. They use the boat quite frequently when she is in the Med and come for two weeks trips here and there when the boat is further away. They like to dive, snorkel, paddle board, fish, explore remote beaches… Without being crazy about it, they are sensitive about the environment.

I spent 3 and a half years with Martin and had a great time. he treated me like a family member. always ready to help and always wanting to get involved when onboard. I left for the reason that I wanted to move on and give the best to a new challenge. would always be happy to go back or help him if he ever needed help. Salary and remuneration is alway fare.
