Looking for recreational sailing around SE Asia or Caribbean
I'm pretty low key, but driven. Engineering background and have been in and out of Asia for the last 10 years. Like to get outdoors and be active. Not really into partying but learning, interesting conversions, and new ideas are fun. I can fix almost anything mechanical, electrical, or software related.
I run a contract manufacturing and product design services business in Asia and split my time between Asia and the US. Depending on where I am, I'd be interested in joining boats around Thailand/Philippines/Malaysia/Indonesia, in the Caribbean, or possibly anywhere between if I happen to be flying through. Generally I can get away for 1-2 weeks at a time or sometimes longer if there is reliable internet access.

After that no set plans
Would like a nice mix of recreation and learning possibilities.
I'm even-tempered, can roll with stressful situations, flexible, have a sense of humor, and willing to help out where I can.
Enjoy being around passionate, intelligent, competent, opinionated, flexible people.
Would love to try spearfishing.
When traveling I like to get off the beaten track and explore. Instead of signing up for pre-packaged experiences, try things that might or might not work out (as long as I feel they are safe enough).
Looking to get some time on sailboats before chartering next year. Also interested in longer trips as crew next year.
I have an RYA Day Skipper certification.
