Hello, my name is Oscar, I'm from Castro Urdiales, near Bilbao, although I've been travelling around the world for years. Now my home is Tenerife, in the Canary Islands.
I register in Crewbay, to be able to get in touch with other people who like the same as me. The sea.
I am a teacher of primary education, although at the moment I work in the cinema. As well as having worked in different things throughout my life. I am a tidy person, who likes communicating with others, cooking, sport, reading, visiting new places and learning something new every day.
I speak different languages and I always make myself understood :)
Spanish, English, Italian and Catalan fluently.
But I can also speak a bit of French, Portuguese and German.
As for my relationship with the sea, it started with my first days. Growing up in the small coastal village called Castro Urdiales, whose lighthouse has always illuminated my nights. Maybe that's why I like those places so much and I go after them. The lighthouses.
I fish, dive, bodyboard, kayak, and other activities.
My sailing experience is short but intense. I have sailed with friends in a Fisher, a 9-metre motorsailer, 3-4 day trips along the coast of the Basque Country, fishing for bonito del norte
I have also sailed in my job, using boats for filming movies/advertising spots.
I can handle myself well on a boat and would love to find one where I can fit in. I would love to learn more about sailing and sail around the world.

Hola ! Me llamo Oscar, soy de Castro Urdiales, cerca de Bilbao, aunque vivo hace años viajando por el mundo. Aquellos que hayan navegado por el norte, conoceran bien el puerto donde me he criado. Ahora mi casa es Tenerife, en las Islas Canarias.
Me inscribo en Crewbay, para poder entrar en contacto con otras personas que les guste lo mismo que a mi. El mar.
Soy maestro de educación primaria, aunque actualmente trabajo en el cine. Asi como haber trabajado de diferentes cosas a lo largo de mi vida. Soy una persona ordenada, que le gusta comunicarse con los demás, cocinar, el deporte, leer, visitar lugares nuevos y aprender cada día algo nuevo.
Hablo diferentes idiomas y me hago entender siempre :)
Español, inglés, italiano y catalán de forma fluida.
Pero tambien puedo hablar un poco de frances, portugues y alemán.
En cuanto a mi relación el mar, empezó con mis primeros días. Creciendo en la pequeña villa costera llamada Castro Urdiales, cuyo faro, siempre ha iluminado mis noches. Quizás por eso, me gustan mucho esos lugares y voy tras ellos. Los Faros.
Pesco, buceo, hago bodyboard, kayak, y demás actividades.
Mi experiencia en navegación, es corta pero intensa. He navegado junto amigos en un Fisher, un motovelero de 9 metros, travesías de 3-4 días por la costa del país vasco, pescando bonitos.
También, he navegado en mi trabajo, utilizando barcos para la grabación de peliculas/spots publicitarios.
Me manejo bien dentro de un barco y me encantaría encontrar uno donde encajar. En el que aprender más sobre navegación y recorrer el mundo a vela.

Crewing alongside Oscar for a week in the North Sea
Great week with Oscar in the North Sea crossing the English Channel and then a week of 10-14 hour days of sailing up the coast of Belgium, France and Netherlands. We went to Amsterdam Sail 2025 together. Oscar has good stamina for being at the helm for long periods, he loves a sail full of wind and enjoys trimming the sails to get peak speed! I have also seen him confidently climb the mast of a Jeanne’s 53 with the boat heeling doing 15 knots! He is a good observer of the sea, weather and situations. He is honest in his communication and will talk through when he things go well and when things go wrong and he wants to learn from it. Oscar anticipates what is coming and prepares docking lines and preps sail bags all without being asked and he has confidence to get things done both above and below deck. In the galley, Oscar cooks with talent and passion! He loves to cook Spanish inspired dishes for others. He enjoys sharing a meal and sharing a drink together after a long day sailing. Oscar speaks fluent English, he loves being on boats and enjoys the company of others, he is also a terrific photographer and brings fun music vibes to the boat.
