Looking for a Novice Crew, Friendship, Voluntary work or Mile building position
Hi,
I´m Sonja, 20 years old and currently I´m traveling the east coast of Australia.
I'm interested in finding a position as a Novice Crew, Friendship, Voluntary work or Mile building. I'm looking forward to meeting some new people!
I love getting to know people, their culture and lifestyle. Up until now I did a lot of house sitting and couch surfing with my sister (if you want I can sent you links to my profile, I have 3 references for couch surfing and 13 for House sitting).
I love the sea, but up until now I´ve never sailed before.
So I´m a complete beginner, but I always love to try new things and would do my best in helping you with any task you have.
->A bit about me:
I´m definitely a creative person and love to do anything that has to do with crafting. Whether that´s fibre crafts like knitting or more hands-on outdoor stuff.
I love to cook and I´m currently trying to get better at baking :). I mostly cook Mediterranean and German dishes but I would love to improve my skills with other cuisines.
In my free time I love to go swimming, stand-up paddling and hiking.
I love reading and I´m a huge potter head.
I love all kinds of music, but I mostly listen to stuff from the 70s and 80s, latin music, a bit of german rap and indie pop and classical music.
I would love to meet you and go sailing with you.

A Fantastic Crew Member!
I had the privilege of having Sonja aboard my yacht, Gypsy, for a week long trip along the south east coast of Tasmania. Sonja proved to be extremely capable, enthusiastic and an absolute delight to have onboard. She is diligent, polite, intelligent, helpful and a joy to be around. She is also an awesome cook! Despite having little previous experience, Sonja picked things up very quickly and threw her whole self into learning, reading and practising the many aspects of sailing. She was soon helming, navigating, sheeting, anchoring and sailing like a seasoned sailor. She is a wonderful person and great fun to be with. I recommend her whole-heartedly to anybody looking for a fantastic crew member!
