Looking for opportunities to build miles
I've been sailing off and on throughout my life. I am close to getting my Captain License. I just need a few more sea days to fulfill my recency requirements so I am looking to log more off-shore sea time. Other certs include, ASA 101,103,104
I am pretty easy going and can typically roll with the punches. I'm a hard worker and know how to get things done, give me a task and I will see it through. I am also a fairly tidy person.
As a retired person, I have a lot of flexibility in my schedule. Other things that I enjoy are cooking, fly fishing, mountain biking, and rock climbing.
In addition going with the flow, my biggest contribution to any vessel, is my ability to repair or improvise just about anything. I am mechanically gifted and have a good understanding of how things work. My friends and family sometimes refer to me as McGyver. I'm also very familiar with solar electric systems and have built several systems from scratch.
I enjoy meeting and getting to know new people and exploring new areas. I think that I would make a welcome addition to most crews.
