Engineer/Mechanic looking to join a crew as a deck hand to improve my sailing skils.
Hi I’m Colin, I’m an Engineer with many years of engine and boat maintenance experience and have totally fixed up and restored 100 + Motor boats / House boats / Campers / Cars / Motorbikes.
I have crewed in the past and I have solo sailed to France, Belgium and the UK from Holland where I live with, and have night sailing experience.
I’m am looking to join and meet like mind people to improve my sailing ability as well as to teach what I know, am willing to help onboard and contribute towards costs.
I can also cook and am not afraid of getting stuck in or getting my hands dirty.

Channel Sailing
We sailed in a team of three in harsh conditions and made a long passage (111nm) on the second day. Colin has enough power to steer for hours and was very reliable in all actions. His technical knowledge was proved when we needed a repair on a encapsuled relay for the winch. He is a very positive and welcoming person who likes to learn people and shares his own stories. We will definitely keep contact and figure out new sailing challenges.
