Engineer/Mechanic looking to join a crew as a deck hand to improve my sailing skils.
Hi I’m Colin, I’m an English Engineer with many years of engine and boat maintenance experience and have totally fixed up and restored 100 + Motor boats / House boats / Campers / Cars / Motorbikes.
I am a family man with a wife and 2 kids, who don't quite share my sense of adventure, so not looking for love etc!
I have independently cruised and sailed the inland waterways, lakes and North Sea for years in Holland where I live, with my own motor and sail boats and have recently crewed for a week from Holland to the west coast to the UK with a group of like minded people.
I’m am looking am still willing to join a crew to help fine tune my sailing skills, am willing to help onboard and contribute towards costs and of course fix the boat if needed underway.

Channel Sailing
We sailed in a team of three in harsh conditions and made a long passage (111nm) on the second day. Colin has enough power to steer for hours and was very reliable in all actions. His technical knowledge was proved when we needed a repair on a encapsuled relay for the winch. He is a very positive and welcoming person who likes to learn people and shares his own stories. We will definitely keep contact and figure out new sailing challenges.
