Looking for a Captain or 1st Mate position
Hello, my name is Sebastien. I’m a French seafarer with over 30 years of experience at sea and hold a Captain 500 GT license, STCW 2010 certified.
I began sailing and racing in the Mediterranean, then moved on to crewed charters in the Pacific, and have been based in the Caribbean for the past 25 years. My experience includes yacht deliveries (including Atlantic crossings), new build commissioning, and working directly for private owners. I have worked on luxury charter yachts—both sailing and motor—up to 82 feet.
I’m a friendly, loyal, and discreet captain with proven longevity onboard. I place a strong emphasis on safety and am a capable team leader who works well with crew.
Most recently, I worked as a project manager, assisting with urgent repairs and providing technical support on superyachts in Sint Maarten, drawing on my strong technical background.
I am now looking to secure a long-term position as Captain of a sailing or motor yacht up to 30 meters, or as an Officer on larger yachts (30m+), with a preference for Caribbean-based or rotational opportunities.
