Looking for a spot on a westbound Atlantic crossing – late 2024 / early 2025
Hey ocean lovers,
My name is Thibaut Badoual, I’m 28, French, and passionate about everything that floats (and glides — long live surfing).
I’m looking to join an Atlantic crossing at the end of 2024 or the beginning of 2025, heading toward the Caribbean or Central America (Panama, Costa Rica, Nicaragua… or anywhere else — I’m open to tropical detours). I can embark from France, Spain, Portugal, or the Canary Islands.
⚓️ Experience (3,000 nautical miles):
- I started sailing when I was little — first on Optimists, Hobie Cat 16s, and Lasers, before moving on to cruising sailboats.
- Since then, I’ve spent a lot of time at sea, both with family and friends, often as co-skipper (Brittany, Toulon, La Rochelle, Guadeloupe).
- Some of my best memories include a cruise from Saint Lucia to Saint Martin aboard an Astrea 42, with several night passages along the way.
My goal: to share a beautiful human and maritime adventure, reach Central America with the trade winds on a low-carbon voyage, and keep learning from passionate crews.
If you’re looking for a motivated, positive, and seaworthy crew member — both on deck and on a surfboard — I’d be delighted to join you!
Available to chat, meet up, or even go for a sail before the big departure.
See you soon — maybe on board ⛵️
