Wanting to learn to sail, beginning sailor and experienced medic

Hello, I am a prospective sailor with no experience, wanting to build my sea legs. I am a good worker with a positive demeanor and solid work ethic. I am a trained paramedic, which may be a definite plus, and a ex-concert constructor with minor rigging experience (however that may be helpful I’m used to pulling ropes).
