Looking for a Competent Crew, Voluntary work, Mile building or Friendship position

*Currently in Indonesia

Hi - I'm Adam, an adventurous easy going Australian/Canadian nomad Paramedic & Dive Master looking to find the right crew position to both learn from and contribute my unique life experience and personality to. I want to be helpful, trusted and valued as a reliable team member on either long term or short term cruising/racing/boat moving opportunities.

Ideally looking to sail with and learn from an experienced captain willing to teach and mentor me along my path of becoming a old salty dog (with my own boat someday)
Until that day I hope to sail and explore the world with like-minded adventurous sailors whom I can build a bond and trusted relationship with, I like to be relied upon and helpful, I don't even mind babysitting the boat while the owner is away "adulting"

I don't smoke, I'm fairly health conscious "gym life" loving free spirit, I have no long term commitments or dependants and I am happy to relocate to you if we both feel like it would be a good match.

Aside from my love of the ocean I'm also very keen on reading, motorcycling adventures, gym/yoga and of course travel. I've been to approx 30 countries and have have lived in 6 of them so I tend to get along with a variety of different peoples and cultures stemming from my interest in anthropology and psychology/philosophy

I have no food allergies and very happy to participate in boat maintenance, mechanical, night watches, sail trim and navigation along with usual general crew responsibilities

Fluent in English, I can get around in Spanish pretty well. I'm looking forward to meeting some new people sharing worldly adventures.

Sailing CV upon request available along with Sailties/Navionics verified journeys. Currently I have Skipper Large Sailboat endorsement through the NauticEd Sailing school and am doing more online theory to complete the bareboats charter course.

Q&A

Q: What is the longest passage you’ve completed without stops? 29 days Pearl islands to Marquesas

Q: Gin and Tonic in a beautiful anchorage or trimming the sails to get an extra half knot? Why not both

Q: What is your favourite boat and why? My grandfather's old C&C redline 32.... Its what romanticised sailing for me at a young age

Q: What are your sailing ambitions? What’s the next challenge? Having crossed the Pacific I'd also like to cross the Atlantic someday and if possible maybe sail around cape horn... Actually I'm pretty much open to most sailing adventures
