Atlantic Crossing
My name is Pedro, I am 52 years old, and I am from Portugal. I am a physical education teacher and I am passionate about water sports. Besides surfing, which I've been doing since I was 18, I started sailing shortly after. I am a dinghy sailing coach from Portuguese Federation of Sailing and I am currently selling my 40-foot sailboat. I bought an Elan 40 in Croatia in 2019 and sailed the entire Mediterranean. I have some offshore experience too: made Lisbon to Madeira Island in 2023. I will be taking unpaid leave from my school to travel for a year, opting to begin an Atlantic crossing. I am responsible person, common sense is a quality I greatly appreciate, and a good sense of humor is a valuable asset to have on board.
