Looking for sailing partners
I’m looking to charter a yacht for a weekend now and then off season with or without a skipper starting September sailing on the Cote d Azur within say an hour perimeter of Nice airport. Start Saturday morning 0900 and return by 1700 the following day Sunday. Minimum standard should be competent crew (RYA) and spoken English. I haven’t gone into detail with it yet, I just want to see if there is any interest. Depending on the Yacht it might cost around 300 euros each person and have a minimum of 4 maximum of 5. Once you have paid you would be committed. No returns (unless you can get someone to take your place) or I’ve managed somehow to put someone on a reserve list somewhere. I’m not making any money from it, I’m doing purely so that I can extend my sailing skills here where I live. You would have to pay your own food and travel. Weather tends to be milder down here but you may need to pack some foul weather gear on occasion. You would also have to be prepared to accept a cancellation due to weather conditions (which might mean losing your airfare), but you would get your money back or have the option of booking another trip regarding your payment for the boat. As I say, this is very much in it’s infancy. It would give me the option of sailing and perhaps others the option of getting over here to the beautiful City of Nice and the Cote d Azur for the weekend. Anyone interested?
