Commissioing engineer looking for a Competent Crew or Mile building position - August - Atlantic/Offshore
Hi I'm Andrea, I've just joined Crewbay. I'm interested in finding a position as a Novice Crew, Competent Crew or Mile building.
I’m a commissioning engineer in the cryogenic equipment (centrifugal and piston pumps, turboexpangers, heat exchangers) with a background in electrical, mechanical, and electronic troubleshooting in industrial environments (on-shore/FSRU/container cargo ships/oil tankers/LNG cargo). I’m new to sailing (no sailing expenrince) but very motivated to learn offshore seamanship properly and become an active crew member on real passages.
I’m looking for joining a crew for Atlantic/offshore opportunities where I can participate in watches, navigation, sail handling, and onboard systems rather than just hospitality tasks (I'm glad to do my part). Calm under pressure, technically minded, hands-on, and eager to learn from experienced sailors.
Ideally in August the whole month.
