Looking for a Friendship or Competent Crew position
At 35 years old, I bring a unique blend of lifelong maritime passion and rigorous professional discipline to the water. As a practicing orthopedic surgeon, I operate under the philosophy that one must be a perpetual student—a mindset I apply just as strictly to sailing. Whether in the operating room or at sea, I thrive in high-pressure environments, value precision, and am deeply committed to continuous learning. I am always eager to refine my skills, adapt to new vessels, and absorb knowledge from my fellow crew members and captains.
My journey on the water began at age 13 with the Sea Scouts, where I built a strong foundational understanding of wind and water on a diverse array of sailing dinghies. Today, I am a highly qualified skipper holding internationally recognized certifications, including an International Offshore Skipper license (equivalent to an ICC / RYA Yachtmaster Offshore), a Coastal Skipper license, and a Commercial Skipper certification. Over the years, I have logged extensive coastal miles alongside a solid foundation of international offshore passages, making me a reliable hand for both coastal cruising and bluewater crossings.
Beyond navigation and safety, I pride myself on being an exceptional asset to the crew’s daily dynamic. I am a non-smoker, and an excellent cook! In my downtime, I am an avid music lover and passionate photographer—always ready to beautifully document our voyage. Calm under pressure, highly adaptable, and easygoing, I am ready to be a safe, positive, and hardworking force on your next passage.
