I’m an RYA Yachtmaster Offshore (Sail), commercially endorsed, Australian Coxswain Grade 1 NC and trade-qualified boatbuilder/shipwright, based in Palma de Mallorca and available immediately.
I’m looking for skipper or deck work on private and charter yachts in Mallorca and the wider Med — seasonal, delivery or permanent.
What I bring on board:
3,000+ NM and 200+ tidal days, including a 20-day coastal passage Whitsundays to Manly
Liveaboard owner of a 38ft sailing yacht and weekly racing
3 years as volunteer Coxswain / GPH with Australian Volunteer Coastguard (SAR, towing, radio, night work)
Hands-on shipwright: teak decks, hatches, companionways, fibreglass, gelcoat, anti-foul.
Watchkeeping, passage planning, anchoring, tender driving, lines and mooring.
STCW valid to June 2031, ENG1 valid to July 2028, First Aid & CPR, RMDL/PWCL, international driving licence
I’m calm, safety-first and used to running teams — ten years as a department head before I moved into boats. I lived aboard, I don’t need looking after, and I like a boat that is kept properly.
Belgian EU passport. Languages: French (native), English (advanced), Dutch (intermediate), Spanish (learning). Non-smoker.
