Canary island to Caribbean
Hello,
My name is Quentin, I'm a French crew member looking to join a sailboat crossing the Atlantic to the Caribbean.
Over the past few years, I have gained experience working on traditional sailing vessels. I first took part in the refit of a traditional sailing ship at Fair Transport's shipyard in Den Helder, Netherlands. The following year, I worked on the refit of a traditional three-masted barque used for maritime festivals.
After the refit, I joined the crew for a maritime festival tour, sailing via Calais, Fowey, Bangor and Drogheda Milford heaven and Cherbourg for a total of approximately 1,100 nautical miles.
I took part in watchkeeping, basic sail handling, docking manoeuvres and everyday life on board. I also have practical maintenance experience and enjoy preparing boats before departure.
I am now looking for a smaller cruising sailboat with a more hands-on crew, where I can become more involved in sailing, manoeuvres and offshore life.
I am reliable, hardworking and easy to live with. I am happy to help with cooking, cleaning, maintenance, watches, provisioning and any daily tasks needed to keep the boat running smoothly. I learn quickly, stay calm under pressure and always take safety seriously.
For me, this crossing is more than a trip—it's an opportunity to gain experience, contribute to the crew and share an unforgettable adventure at sea.
