Deck/Engineer & Diver Seeking Sailing Crew
My background includes charter-vessel engineering and deck work, commercial diving, underwater inspection and marine repair. I've worked aboard charter vessels as an engineer, deckhand, sailor and relief helmsman, maintaining engines, electrical/electronic equipment, water systems, navigation and safety equipment.
I'm comfortable with mechanical troubleshooting, maintenance, deck work, watches, provisioning, guest assistance and the less glamorous work required to keep a vessel operating. I'm also an experienced diver with SSI Rescue, Nitrox, Deep Diving and Emergency O2 certifications.
My goal is to become a highly competent sailing and multihull crew member while building documented sea service toward a future USCG captain's license. I'm especially interested in charter catamarans and trimarans, but open to other sailing vessels where I can contribute and develop professionally.
I'm completing a B.S. in Environmental Engineering online and need periodic internet access and a schedule that normally provides 1–2 off-duty days per week. Much of my coursework can be completed offline and scheduled around vessel operations.
Based in Texas and willing to relocate. I'm particularly interested in positions offering onboard accommodation or relocation assistance.
