Looking for a Voluntary work or Novice Crew position --from Northern Spain to the French Atlantic — Mid-September 2026
Hi! I am walking the Camino del Norte and expect to reach Bilbao and/or Santander in mid-September. I am looking for a sailing boat, yacht, delivery voyage, fishing vessel, or another suitable boat travelling north toward the French Atlantic.
I am a complete beginner in sailing and have no experience as a skipper or technical sailing experience. However, I am accustomed to travelling simply and independently, and I would be very happy to contribute to everyday life on board: cooking, preparing meals, provisioning, shopping, cleaning, keeping things organized, and helping with any practical tasks appropriate for a beginner.
I am specifically looking for an arrangement based on mutual exchange: I would contribute my time and help on board in exchange for the passage. My preferred destinations are Saint-Nazaire or La Baule.
I am flexible regarding the exact departure port and date and could potentially join in Bilbao, Getxo, Castro Urdiales, Laredo, Santoña, Santander, or another nearby port, depending on the boat's itinerary.
