Canadian Sailor | Engineer | Biscay ✓ | Atlantic Crossing Ready
Hi! I'm Olivier, 23, a freshly graduated engineer from Montreal, Canada. Instead of heading straight to a desk job, I decided to do things differently — I've spent the past months backpacking Europe mostly by sailboat and it's been the best decision of my life.
I raced keelboats and dinghies in university and have sailed in Canada, the US and the Caribbean. This summer I crossed the Bay of Biscay and sailed through the English Channel. I hold a VHF certificate, I don't get seasick, and as an engineer I'm handy when something needs fixing on board.
I'm easy-going, tidy, happy to cook and take watches, and I respect the skipper's decisions. I speak English and French fluently and can get by in Spanish.
My goal is to cross the Atlantic and make it to Martinique. I'm flexible on timing and route and I'm in this for the long game. I'm looking for the right boat and the right crew to share this adventure with.
Fair winds, Olivier
