Looking for a Competent Crew, Voluntary work, Mile building or Cook position
Hi! I’m Carlos, a Mexican traveler currently looking for an opportunity to cross the Pacific from Mexico towards French Polynesia and, eventually, Australia or New Zealand.
I’m an experienced independent traveler who has visited 165 countries, mostly traveling overland and on a budget. I’m now looking for a very different kind of adventure: learning to sail, becoming part of a crew, and crossing the Pacific by sea.
I have a genuine willingness to learn and to contribute wherever I’m needed. I’m happy to help with watches, cooking, cleaning, maintenance, provisioning, or any of the less glamorous jobs that come with life aboard. I don’t expect to be a passenger — I want to be useful and earn my place in the crew.
I’m a PADI Divemaster, comfortable in the water, and I don’t get seasick. I also enjoy cooking and living simply. I’m used to adapting to unfamiliar environments, sharing spaces with different people, and dealing with unexpected situations. I’m particularly known by the people I travel with for keeping a calm attitude under pressure and for being easygoing and reliable when things don't go according to plan.
I’m also willing to contribute financially to the voyage and can be flexible with dates and itinerary. My main goal is to gain real offshore sailing experience while being a dependable member of the crew.
